Three months after Aidan was born we were shocked to discover that we were pregnant again. After all the work to get Aidan, Brady just happened. It is said to be easier to get pregnant the second time if you have PCOS, for me this was true. The pregnancy flew by, probably because I had a baby to take care of and we slept through it. I still had extreme morning sickness but craved frozen burritos. With Aidan all I craved was crispy chiken salads, which daddy would make and bring to me at work, and ham sandwiches. After the second pregnancy I would go onto craving swiss cake rolls and coke...not a healthy breakfast!
Brady was a scheduled c-section, it was stress free but I still had the low blood pressure/high heart rate that I had with Aidan. Usually the docs make the hubby stay out while they prep for surgery, instead Michael was rushed into the room to be at my side.
I hated leaving my little baby Aidan at home while I was in the hospital with Brady, I felt so guilty! It was so wonderful the first time around to be with my new baby and my hubby. We would just stay in order brownies and stare at Aidan. I was alone with Brady, we had just weaned Aidan from the botttle so Michael stayed at home with him. I ended up leaving a day early after talking to the doc on rounds who agreed I was more than fine to go home. Two babies are much more work than just one baby...but twice the fun.
